CONFESSION Is Still Good for the Soul 3 Day Devotional

Day 2: Confession Flows Through Honesty

Scripture: Luke 18:13b – “O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.”

Reflection:
There’s power in raw honesty. The tax collector didn’t give a speech—he made a plea. He didn’t explain away his past—he confessed it. Confession requires truth-telling, and truth-telling requires courage.

We often hesitate to confess because we fear the consequences. But God isn’t asking for a perfect explanation—He’s waiting for an honest admission. When we come clean, we stop living in fear of being found out. We stop wasting energy on hiding and pretending.

You can’t P.U.S.H. in prayer if you’re living behind a lie. God already knows. He just wants you to come clean.

Devotional Thought:
Have I been honest with myself lately? With God? With someone I’ve wronged? What truth have I been avoiding?

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, give me the courage to come clean. Help me tell the truth, even when it’s hard, even when it hurts. I’m tired of hiding. I want to be free.
