A Mother’s Confidence 3-Day Devotional

Day 1: Confidence Rooted in Relationship

Scripture:
“When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, ‘They have no wine.’” — John 2:3
(NKJV)

Reflection:
Mary didn’t give instructions. She didn’t panic. She simply brought the problem to Jesus. Why?
Because she knew Him. Thirty years of watching her Son had taught her something about His
character, competence, and consistency. Her faith was not rooted in wishful thinking—it was
grounded in relationship.

In the same way, our confidence in God grows as we spend time with Him. When we truly know who God is, we don’t need to manipulate outcomes. We simply present our needs and trust His response.

Reflect:
What situations in your life are you still trying to fix on your own? How might your relationship
with God grow if you simply brought the issue to Him?

Prayer:
Lord, teach me to know You—not just facts about You, but who You truly are. Build my confidence in Your character, competence, and consistency. Help me to trust You more deeply
each day. Amen.
