PUSH: 4 Day Devotional

Day 3: The Pattern of Prayer

Scripture: Daniel 6:10 – “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”

Devotional:
Daniel had a rhythm. Jesus had a rhythm. The early church had a rhythm. They didn’t wait for crisis to pray—they built it into the rhythm of life. Prayer was their pattern, not their panic
button.

A daily rhythm keeps us rooted in God regardless of the season. Morning, midday, and
evening—prayer becomes as regular as breathing.

At Union Baptist Church of Swissvale, we gather virtually for prayer three times a week:
  • Monday & Friday at 6:00 AM
  • Wednesday at 6:00 PM

CHALLENGE: This week, join one of our virtual prayer meetings. Start making prayer your
rhythm, not your reaction.

Reflection:
What’s stopping you from committing to a regular rhythm of prayer?

Prayer:
God, help me to make prayer a part of my everyday rhythm. Give me the courage and discipline to join my church family in prayer this week. Don’t let me just talk about prayer—let me live it. Amen.
